Established in 1970, the Gujarat State Plastic Manufacturers’ Association (GSPMA) is one of the leading plastic manufacturers associations in the country, representing Plastic Industry at State as well as Central level. At present, total membership strength of the Association stands at around 2000. GSPMA is also one of the founder members of the PLASTINDIA FOUNDATION, an apex body engaged in the research & development in the Plastic Industry throughout the country and dedicated to national progress through plastics.
GSPMA had organized national level plastics exhibition/seminar namely, PLEXPO in the year 1979, 1995, 2004 & 2007. These events are considered to be the landmark in the history of GSPMA. The next exhibition will be taking place in the year 2010.
The economic boom in India has also give thrust to sectors like packaging, agriculture, bulk commodities & consumer durables, infrastructure and health care. All these sectors use polymers of different grades. Thus there will be a great demand of plastic processing machinery and ancillary equipments.
Plexpoindia offers a platform where all the machinery and equipments related to plastic industry can be showcased. This exhibition is organized every three years. Plexpoindia 1979, 1995 and 2004 have been the landmarks in the history of Indian plastics & packaging exhibitions.
Organized by GSPMA, Plexpoindia 2010 will be the next mega event that will promote Indian plastic industry. Plexpoindia 2010 will be the 5th Plexpo where manufacturers, dealers, traders, suppliers of raw materials, machinery & equipment, ancillary equipments, testing equipments, chemicals & additives are expected.
Plexpoindia 2010 will be held at newly constructed conventional centre. This new ambience will ensure better facilities to the exhibitors as well as the visitors. Plexpoindia 2010 is expecting participation by over 500 exhibitors.
